You are not authorised to use this service as you are not listed as an account contact on this account. Please contact the account contact in your company for more details.

To be able to retrieve an unlocking code for a handset you must be listed as either an account contact on the account or the account holder. Your account contact will be able to contact Vodafone on your behalf to retrieve this code for you.

You must meet certain criteria in order to retrieve your NAC code. At present you do not meet these criteria.

Bill Pay Customers

  • At least 12 months in contract OR
  • Have a minimum spend of €200 AND
  • Have no active outstanding balance AND
  • You have not requested three NACs in the last twelve months

Pay As You Go Customers

  • Have topped up by €127 in a 6 month period AND
  • Have not requested three NACs in the last twelve months.

You have exceeded the maximum number of NAC retrievals. In any 12 month period you can retrieve a maximum 3 NAC codes.

Due to the high cost of handsets and the subsidy that Vodafone applies to the handset we have a maximum limit of 3 nac code retrievals in a 12 month period. This 12 months is counted from the day you retrieve your 1st NAC code.

The IMEI for your handset is not recognised as a Vodafone Ireland IMEI.

Sometimes our systems will not recognise an IMEI. When this happens you must fill in a NAC form so that the Vodafone admin team can retrieve the code on your behalf. This code will be sent to you via the channel you’ve indicated on the NAC form.

No NAC code has been issued for this IMEI number.

In rare cases the manufacturer will not have supplied Vodafone with an NAC code for a specific IMEI number. In these instances you must fill out the NAC form so that we can retrieve this code from the manufacturer on your behalf. This code will then be sent to you via the channel you’ve indicated on the NAC form.

A NAC code could not be found for the IMEI you entered.

In rare cases we may not have the NAC code stored on our systems. In these instances you need to fill out the NAC form so that we can retrieve the code from the manufacture on your behalf. This code will then be sent to you via the channel you indicated on the NAC form.

There was an issue processing your request. Please try again later.

From time to time our systems will undergo essential maintenance. During these periods NAC retrieval is not available to our customers.

Your account type is not authorised to use this service.

Only Bill Pay single subscriber or Small Business with a maximum of two subscribers on their accounts are eligible to retrieve their NAC codes online. If your phone is part of a business account with more than two subscribers you must contact the account contact within your company to request the NAC code. Alternatively, if you are the account contact you need to contact your executive within Vodafone or our contact centre to retrieve the NAC code.

How do I unblock my phone so I can use it on another network?

If you want to put a SIM card from another network into your mobile, you may need to unlock your phone using its NAC (network access code).

How to unlock your phone:

Step 1: Check if your mobile is locked. Try a SIM card from another network in your phone. If your phone still works, then it isn't locked and you don't need the NAC.

Step 2: Get your NAC. You can get your NAC online in My Vodafone or you can complete a request form. Make sure to read the instructions to complete the form and check that you are eligible for an unlocking code.

Step 3: Insert the NAC in your mobile. View handset specific instructions about inserting the NAC in your phone. See our device guides manuals for more information.

How do I get my IMEI number?

All devices have a unique identity number, known as the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. If your phone is stolen then we can track if it's being used on the Vodafone network so keep a note of it somewhere safe.

To find out your number, look behind the battery or dial *#06# into your phone and it will display on screen.
